PREFACE

The preparation of the Self Study Report for the third cycle of
Re-Accreditation by NAAC has been a challenging task which
is ultimately fulfilling as it has helped us to know ourselves
better as an institution. The institution has gone through some
changes in the interim period after the second NAAC visit in
2011 but has been able to negotiate these with success.

This report would not be possible without the support and
encouragement of many people .I would like to express my
gratitude to our Management for their unstinting support in
preparing the report and for the entire NAAC Re-
Accreditation process. I thank all members of the IQAC for
their wonderful effort in preparing the SSR, taking it through
numerous revisions in the last six months. I warmly
acknowledge the efforts of the Heads of various departments in
preparing their department profiles. I would also like to thank
all faculties for their enthusiastic assistance whenever it was
required and the administrative staff for patiently bearing with
our innumerable requirements of data.

I hope that this report will provide not only data and
information but also convey the pulse of an institution which
has grown steadily across more than four decades to its present
stature.
