The contents of Part B in the Barnstable Town Record,
Volume 1, present a multitude of topics relating to
miscellaneous transactions and activities during the years
1793 through 1885, including rosters of the Barnstable
Militia for the years 1840 through 1843. The contents are
not presented in chronological order and may well have
been transcribed from various sources as reflected by the
marginal page citations which point to presently unknown
sources. The entries encountered in Part B are distinct from
those of Part A in that the grammar and script, as well as the
content, reflect the very late 18th and the 19th Centuries.
The generalized Table of Contents is unique to this
transcription and does not fully reflect the diversity of the
entries encountered in this part of the Record.
