1 Overview
The Banner Enrollment Management Suite (Banner EM) is a web-based, recruiter-focused
set of solutions that enable you to manage individual and group relationships from initial
inquiry through matriculation while driving performance towards institutional goals.
Banner EM leverages your existing Banner and Luminis Platforms in a robust recruiter-
specific workspace. Banner EM includes two solutions: Banner Relationship Management
and Banner Recruiting and Admissions Performance.
Banner Relationship Management
Banner Relationship Management helps you manage relationships at your institution. It
lets you identify, engage, personalize, and track relationships with your prospective
students and their key advisors. You can personalize engaging interactions; design,
segment and target the communications you send; and monitor, track and gauge your
recruitment and admissions activities.
Banner Recruiting and Admissions
Performance
Banner Recruiting and Admissions Performance is the reporting analytics and
performance portion of the Banner Enrollment Management Suite. You can use Banner
Recruiting and Admissions Performance to report, analyze, monitor and track
performance; define goals and objectives; and measure progress against key performance
indicators. Banner Recruiting and Admissions Performance also lets you easily access
recruitment, admissions, and selected financial aid information and use it to create reports.
Banner Recruiting and Admissions Performance solution includes a package of
operational reports. These reports display trends of outcomes, summaries of current
outcomes and detailed lists of recruits and applicants. The solution also includes
capabilities to configure organizational scorecards to reflect your organization’s specific
recruitment goals, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

The delivered dashboards, reports, queries, and scorecards have been created using
Cognos tools. The data for these features is stored in the Banner Enterprise Data
Warehouse (Banner EDW) and in Cognos cubes.
Point of entry
Because Banner Recruiting and Admissions Performance is a web based product, you use
a browser to access the product. You use the different Cognos tools to view scorecards/
dashboards, design reports, or perform ad-hoc reporting based on the type of user you are
(technical, executive, report author, or functional user). The security levels defined by
your institution can impact what is available to you. There is also an administrative side to
managing the data in Banner EDW.
