This document proposes using deep convolutional neural networks and chest X-ray images to automatically detect COVID-19. Three pre-trained models (ResNet50, InceptionV3, Inception-ResNetV2) were tested on a dataset of 50 COVID-19 and 50 normal chest X-rays. ResNet50 achieved the highest accuracy at 98%, outperforming InceptionV3 at 97% and Inception-ResNetV2 at 87%. The study demonstrates that chest X-rays and pre-trained deep learning models can effectively detect COVID-19 and may help address limited testing availability.
