Australobius polyspinipes sp. n. (Lithobiomorpha: Lithobiidae) was recently
discovered from Tianheshan Mountain, Hebei Province, China, and it is de-
scribedhere.MorphologicallythenewspeciesissimilartoA.nodulusMa,Song
&Zhu,2008andA.magnus(Trozina,1894),bothrecordedfromChina.Thenew
speciescanbeeasilydistinguishedfromthosebyhaving7+7–8+8coxosternal
teeth,10–12ocellioneachsideofthecephalicplate,5+5spursonthefirstarticle
ofthefemalegonopodsanddifferencesinplectrotaxyoflegs.Themainmorpho-
logicalcharactersandakeytotheknownChinesespeciesofgenusAustralobius
basedonadultspecimensispresented.
