Nach der Untersuchung der kunstgemäßen und kunstfremden Überzeugungsmittel in den ersten beiden Büchern wendet sich das dritte Buch der sprachlichen Form, Gestalt und Anordnung der Redeteile zu. Alle Aspekte der Redekunst, von der logischen Tiefenstruktur der Deduktion bis zu Wortwahl und Vortragsweise, werden mit Blick auf das Ziel des Redners analysiert, der Wahrheit mit rhetorischen Mitteln zu ihrem Recht zu verhelfen.
