tion consisting of a stationary, vertical ele-
ment about which a reflector is rotated at high
speed. The reflector my be either a multiele-
ment parasitic one or a continuous sheet. The
rotating reflector amplitude modulates the re-
ceived signal at the rotation frequency. The
resulting rotating horizontal radiation pattern
is essentially cardioid in shape.
