Be it resolved that:

I The citizens of Acton, Massachusetts, strongly support our
elected and appointed officials, and especially the President of the
United States, in the goal of bringing to justice those people who
participated in or assisted in the heinous attack on our country on
September 11,2001.
II The citizens of Acton, Massachusetts, strongly support the
development of an international, multi-country effort which will work
to eradicate terrorism throughout the world.
III The citizens of Acton, Massachusetts, in the spirit of
justice, caution ourselves that guilt and responsibility for the heinous
acts of September 1 1, a re not attributable to any people because they
practice a particular religion or are of a certain race or nationality.
IV The citizens of Acton, Massachusetts, extend our deepest
sorrow, sympathy and prayers for all victims of this horrific event,
including their families and friends. We are particularly saddened at
the grievous losses in our own community.
V The citizens of Acton, Massachusetts, extend our grateful
appreciation to the thousands of brave and selfless rescue workers
i
who toil in nightmarish conditions in their recovery efforts.
