Focusing splieifically on the wastewater treatment
process of anaerobiC,I,digestion, this document identifies
instructional, and reference materials for use by professionals in the
field in the development and implementation of new pregr'ams or in the
'updating of existing programs. It is designed to help trainers, plant
operators, edu4tors, engineers, Consultants, and students
efficiently identify and locite specific instructional materials.
Part I presents a brief descriptionof the anaerobic digestion
process i.n wastewater treatment operations. Part II provides eleven
selected chapters or sections from-resource publications and other

instructional materials which are representative of materials
currently available. Part III contains abstracts of other pertinent
instructional materials which may supplement those in Part II. The
final section alphabetically lists bibliographic citation
