AIC President’s Message
It is with great pleasure that AIC is coming to After the very successful and memorable

meetings the last years and the number of committee have done their best to ensure
delegates at this meeting is round 250! At this that this meeting will work out under the best
meeting we are also very proud to announce possible conditions, that the proceedings will
the winner of the AIC Logo Competition for be interesting and that it will be exciting to
the International Colour Day March 21st. We learn about the latest developments under
hope that all of you will have color activities the theme of , “In Color We Live: Color and
in your country all over the world in the same Environment”. I am sure there will be many
colorful day. memorable moments and fruitful meetings
to remember in the coming years. In Taiwan -
Now we are looking forward to three coming the beautiful island with towering mountains

is about understanding the efects of colors in
natural and man-made environments which
contributes to create healthier living spheres
through color applications. In this theme
we will listen to the importance of color and
commonly raised questions like: What efect
does the color of a room have on the people
in it? How are we afected by colors? Few
things infuence us as much as color and few
things engage and interest people as much
as color. Color plays an essential role in our
environment.
I would like to thank especially Professor
Tien-Rien Lee, the chair of Color Association
of Taiwan and his team and the Chinese
Culture University for the great organization
of this meeting. I also would like to thank
the members of the international scientifc
committee who reviewed 244 abstracts
which has resulted in 45 oral presentations
