Close Year Estimated year the landfill will reach capacity.

Central - Worcester (80 Towns)
Northeast - Woburn (95 Towns)
Southeast - Lakeville (75 Towns)
Western - Springfield (101 Towns)
ID Unique identification number assigned to each solid waste management
facility.
Landfill Type Type ofsolid waste landfill. All landfills on this list are Ash Landfills.
Liner Info Landfills listed as "Unlined" have no liner between the solid waste fill and
the underlying soil. "Lined" landfills were operating lined cells at fee time
ofpublication, but may also have unlined inactive cells.
Open Year Year the landfill began disposing ofsolid waste.
Operator Info Operator name, address, contact person, and phone number.
Operator Type Type ofoperator: Municipal or Private.
Owner Info Owner name, address, contact person, and phone number.
Owner Type Type ofowner: Municipal or Private.
Site Info Facility name, address, contact person, and phone number.
Status Identifies ifthe Landfill is Active, Inactive, Closed or Proposed. All the
Ash Landfills on this list were operating (Active) at the time of
publication.
Permitted Tons Permitted Tons Per Day ofsolid waste that a landfill may accept.
Per Day
Tons Landfilled Tons ofsolid waste disposed for each landfill during calendar year
in 1998 1998 according to annual facility reports.
Town Municipality the facility is located in.
