A little work done by the authors own Biomedical and Engineering group has been included in the chapter on New developments. About the Author: Dr. S. Ananthi, B.E., M.Tech. (IISc), Ph.D. is a Sr. Lecturer in the University of Madras and she has studied and made considerable research publications on Signal Processing for Instrumentation. She has written books on Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, DSP and on Medical Electronics. She is a member of IEEE, IETE and IE (India).
