The large populatio onfAdonis has been known from Hiroshim aPrefectur ew,estern Honshu,
Japan. The Adonis species was fbrmerl ryegarded as A. ramosa. However ,based on the detailed
examinations of fiowers and fi;ui ttsh,i sspecies is here identifi aesd A. multij7ora. This is the
firs rteport ofA. multij7bra from western Honshu, Japan.
