noticeable. It was undoubtedly a picathartes nest: it
lookedexactly likethosebuilt on rock faceswe had
comeacrossinthesamearea,wherewefoundseveral
colonies.Accordingtolocals,thebirdwasseenonthe
nest several weeksbeforeand the breeding sitewas
reported to have lx*en in existence for years. Ihis
appearstolx*thefirstrecordofanestofGrey-necked
Picathartes built on a tree.
