From Psychoanalysis
to the Psychology of Women
Hannah Lerman received her Ph.D. degree in clinical psychology
from Michigan State University in 1963. She has been a member of the
clinical faculties of the Menninger School of Psychiatry and of the
University of Southern California School of Medicine as well as
Academic Dean of the California School of Professional Psychology
Los Angeles. Since 1973, she has been in full time practice as a clinical '
psychologist and feminist therapist. A cofounder of the Feminist
Therapy Institute, she has also served as the President of the Division
of the Psychology of Women of the American Psychological Associa
tion.
