Having just moved after being reassigned to Klamath Falls, Oregon, the NASA investigator is lonely and confused. Xenobia can read his mind, and she empathizes with his pain. She provides a soft and comforting emotional blanket in his time of deep need. It isn’t easy for Alan. He struggles with the reality that he is beginning to develop intimate feelings for…an otherworldly creature. But he gradually changes his thoughts, and starts to see Xenobia as a human woman. Love affairs can get people murdered By the time the brilliant Alan Grunke realizes Xenobia has been manipulating him all along, it is too late. He has no recourse. Too afraid to kill himself, and too scared to face imprisonment and the end of his career, he follows his paranormal paramour’s directives. Just like he disassociated from a childhood fraught with abuse. Gradually, however, Xenobia asks him to kill. It doesn’t take long for Alan to reach his breaking point. Living with a garish tableau of grisly images haunting him on a repeat loop, he goes insane, wandering downtown Portland, Oregon naked and muttering. When he is arrested and placed in a psychiatric hospital temporarily for his safety, he must find a way to escape. Because when the world finds out what he had done, he would be hunted.
