A Note from the Editor
In your hands is the work of hundreds of scrapbook artists.
Hundreds of people, many just like you, who created a layout (or
several) that they are really proud of. Artists who wanted to share
their work and their love of scrapbooking with you.
How did we here at Memory Makers Books get all these fantastic
layouts? Well, we asked. We asked readers of our Web site and our
e-newsletter to send images of their favorite layouts. And from there,
the word spread. To other online message boards, to blogs and more.
Almost instantly, the e-mails came pouring in. E-mails fi lled with
images of layouts created by people who love scrapbooking.
Three of us on the books staff worked on sorting the e-mails, all the
while selecting a diverse group of layouts to feature in this book.
Each layout was selected for a variety of reasons: because it had a
great photo, or a compelling story or an inspiring design. We selected
layouts that came from artists all over the world. We selected layouts
featuring kids, and husbands, vacations and holidays. And although
we weren’t able to publish all of the thousands of entries we received,
we thoroughly enjoyed looking at and reading every single one.
So to all the amazing contributors to this book—thank you. Thank
you for sharing your layouts with us and for inspiring us to create
our own great scrapbook pages.
