A $5 MILLION COMMITMENT TO ACCESS
CIEE awards $5 million in grants and scholarships annually
to students of diverse academic, ethnic, and economic
backgrounds. That’s more than any other study abroad
organization. This support, combined with federal aid, such
as Pell Grants, reduces study abroad costs. With one-third
of our students coming from middle- and lower-income

HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SECURITY
Student health and safety is CIEE’s top concern. Our emergency
management plan covers every type of emergency with steps
ranging from detailed text bulletins of security or weather
alerts, to implementation of evacuation services. We draw on
