About БМ-21 Град
30 мая 1960 г. вышло Постановление Совета Министров №578-236 о начале работ по полевой дивизионной реактивной системе "Град ". Головным исполнителем системы было назначено НИИ-147 (с марта 1966 г. НИИ-147 часто менял названия; последнее — Государственное научно-производственное предприятие "Сплав " — ему присвоено в 1992 г.); СКБ-203 делало пусковую установку; НИИ-6 — твердотопливные заряды; ГСКБ-47 — снаряжение боевых частей. Система была принята на вооружение в 1963 г., а сдача серийных образцов была начата в 1964 г. Войсковые учения и локальные конфликты подтвердили превосходные качества системы "Град ". Первое боевое крещение этот комплекс получил в марте 1969 г. на острове Даманский в ходе конфликта между СССР и КНР. После массированного применения установок "Град ", стрелявших фугасными снарядами, остров был полностью разворочен, а китайские силы уничтожены. Собственно, залпы "Града " и закончили этот конфликт. В 70-90 гг. комплекс "Град " использовался почти во всех локальных конфликтах в мире и успешно применялся в самых различных климатических условиях — в Азии, Африке и Латинской Америке.
