I amgoingtoventuretodescribeanewspecies, and todedicatethispaper to the
memoryofthelateDr.Yoshiaki KoMIYA,aspecialistofChrysomelidae.
Theabbreviations used herein are thesame as thoseexplained inmy previous
papers. Theholotypeandallotypeof thisnewspeciesaredepositedintheNational
Museumof NatureandScience,Tokyo.
Thisstudyisbasedonexaminationof150specimensof thesubgenusRhagadus
from Kwantodistrict,andShizuokaandYamanashiPrefectures,CentralJapan.

Diagnosis. Bodysmallandstout; pronotumwide;sidesofelytraratherstrongly
arcuate;aedeaga1apicallobesimpleandwithratherwidelyroundedapexindorsalview.
Descrjptjon. Length: 6.2-6.9mm (from apical marginof clypeus toapices of
elytra).
Body small andstout. Colour black to blackish brown; dorsalsurfaceslightly

Ventral surface coarsely punctate, but the gula, median part of prosternum,
metepimeraandmetacoxaearesmooth.
Basaltwoorthreesegmentsofmeso-andmetatarsieachwithoutersulciondorsal
side; TL/HW0.90-0.97(M0.93) in ,0.82-0.89(M0.86) in早.
Aedeaguselongate;apicallobeelongateandslightlyinclinedtotherightoralmost
straight;vieweddorsally,apexratherwidelyrounded;rightparamereelongate,andwith
elongateapicalpart; left onesquare.

Judgjngfromtheshapeoftheaedeaga1apicallobe,thisnewspeciesiscloselyallied
toPterostichus、(Rhagadus)takaosanusHABU(1958,p 8). Itis,however,distinguished
fromitbythefollowingpoints:1) frontalfurrowswider,2) fronscoarselypunctate,3)
pronotumwide,PW/PL134-1.44,4)reflexedlateralsidesofpronotumwider,5)basal
foveaeofpronotummorestronglypunctate,6)elytra1sidesmorestronglyarcuate,7)
aedeaga1apical lobeslightly inclined to the right, 8) aedeaga1apex rather widely
roundedindorsalview,and9)apicalpartof rightparameremoreelongate.
The Abe Pass, the typelocality of thisnewspecies, issituated just above the

Notes. Thisspecieshasawidepronotumandapeculiarlyshapedaedeaga1apex. A
malespecimen of thisspeciesfrom theAbePasshasthe followingstandardratiosof
body parts: PW/HW154, PW/PL134,PW/PA t52,PW/PB127,PA/PB0.83,
EW/PW 120, EL/EW l 50. ThisspeciesremindsusofP. (R) harponifetr TANAKA
(1987, p it8) known from theKwantoand Tokai districts, becauseof thepeculiar
shapeofaedeaga1apex. ThoughIhavenotseenthatspecies, Ideterminedthemasp.
(R) britton1basedon their peculiar shapeof thepronotumandof aedeaga1apex in
dorsal view.

森田誠司: 静岡県安倍峠産Rhagadus亜属のナガゴミムシ. - 静岡県安倍峠と神奈川県相模
大山で採集されたナガゴミムシを新種と認め, 故小宮義璋先生に献名し, コミヤヒメナガゴミム
シPterostichus(Rhagadus)komiya1spnov. として記載した.本種は, この亜属の種のなかでも小
型で, 前胸背板の基部がl品l 広く, 陰茎の先端部は, ややl品l 広であることなどの特徴をもつ. さら
に, 基準産地の安倍峠において, 同亜属の2種が採集されているので, 簡単に報告した.

Bembidion satoi MORITA was described by myself on the basis of an ample series of
specimenscollectedonIriomoteIs.,SouthwestJapan. Sincethen,however,norecordhasbeen
madeof thisspecies.
Recently, I came acrossasingle femalespecimen of B.satoi collected by local peoplein
Taiwan. Inthisbriefreport,IwillrecorditforthefirsttimefromTaiwan. IthankDr.Katsuyuki
TERADAfor hiskindhelp.
