tionofC.pentaneuron,andothermaterialofCpentaneuronfromAntioquia
lackstheprominentphyllaryresinducts.Thus,thereseemstobenomeaning-
fulmorphologicalfeaturesthatonecouldusetosplittheColombiamaterialof
C.pentaneuronintomorethanasingletaxon.Indeed,thiswastheobservation
ot Arriagada(1995,2003),themonographerwhoreducedCfunkiactosyn-
onymy.Moreover,nocaseiorgeographicseparationofC.funkiacasdistinct
fromC.pentaneuroncanbemade.Thus,1recognizeCpentaneuroninaslightly
narrowerconceptthandoes Arriagada(1995,2003),and segregateonly
Clihadiumarriagadaefromit.
ThemorphologicaldistinctionsamongrelativesolC.pentaneuronarepro-
videdbelowinthekeytospecies,whichmodifiescouplet#27ol Arriagada
(1995,2003).
