quia,alongwiththeannualKeelinglecture,arefundedbyadonorasjoint
activitiesbetweentheUCLDepartmentsofPhilosophyandofGreekand
Latin,inmemoryofStanleyVictorKeeling,whowasLecturerandthen
Reader in Philosophy at UCL until . Keeling did not himself pub-
lishonancientphilosophy—hispublishedworkwasonDescartesandon
McTaggart—butheemphasiseditsimportanceaspartofthephilosophy
curriculum. At the donor’s express wish the Colloquia are held during
themid-termReadingWeeksothatstudentswillbeabletoattend.Alist
