1.1 GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION

The MPS2000 front-end power supplies provide an economical space saving design focusing on
applications requiring high current output with limited space. The MPS2000 family provides a
host of modeling options that can be tailored to meet the requirements of edge technology, data
centers, customer premises or traditional telecoms. Designed to grow with the application, the
MPS2000 may be equipped with 1 to 4 shelves with or without a system controller, all within the
19” system framework. Scalable with 3 rectifier choices in the same chassis, the MPS2000 can
provide as little as 1350 to much as 32,400 watts of output system power. Additionally, the
MPS2000 can be combined with a consolidated distribution panel to further expand its
capabilities.

Rated at >91% efficient and an industry leading 34 W/in³, this power supply employs plug-n-play
mentality with flawless performance for an overall cost effective reliable solution.

1.2 SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
1.2.1 Distribution

MPS2000
The MPS2000 includes two shelf models as
building blocks. A minimum system includes one of
either the B (List 1) or C (List 2) shelf. Additional

shelves may be combined to increase capacity.
MPS2000B List 1Single Shelf, 3 Rectifiers
With applications requiring a system controller, at

least one C shelf is necessary. Any system
configuration is defined with a minimum of 1 shelf
with a maximum of 4 shelves.

• Available rectifier models:

o MSM25A50 25A 1350W
o MSM40B50 40A 2000W MPS2000C List 2 Single Shelf , 2 Rectifier Max
o MSM50B50 50A 2700W with 1 System Controller

• Additional shelves are easily added using
the J438175 List 4 interconnect kit
