Welcome of MAE President
Medicina Alternativa—this organisation, which is now stepping
into its 50th year , has members in more than 102 countries. The
largest of its kind in the field of Alternative Medicine. After the
loss of Sir Anton, the Founder and Chairman of Medicina
Alternativa, the leadership was brought under a Board of
Trustees. The Board of Trustees appointed the Board of
Directors to run the affairs and missions of Medicina Alternativa
International. Also to serve the different populations in the best
possible manner. Nowadays our organisation in reorganised through
Continental and National branches. Here in Europe, the Continental Branch in
Prague is registered as Medicina Alternativa Europe o.s. (MA E). This
Continental Organisation has undertaken steps to form the National Branches,
whereas in Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey, Albania and
Romania, where National Organisations are already registered. Other 10
countries are in registration process. Our task is to strengthen the position of
the Complementary Practitioners in member countries and help them to
develop their own national organisations. The Open International University
(OIU) based in Colombo, Sri Lanka with the faculty for Complementary
Medicines, is the academic organisation of Medicina Alternativa, where more
than 29.000 students and Practitioners have gone through clinical Training
Programme in the field of Complementary Medicines in the University
hospital. The OIU digital teaching platform is to be started soon from Europe.
Medicina Alternativa will assist all practitioners and help to set standards in
different professions due to teaching high level standard syllabus of OIU and
Academies of MA E. We will make sure, that professionals, who are certified
Members of MA E deserve Trust in their skills and abilities. Medicina
Alternativa is also willing to support those, who are involved in manufacturing
of natural products and equipments related to Natural Therapies by giving
certification for quality and standard. We have to think about the live and learn
all about the live, with the Knowledge of all the symptomatic information. Our
science is the science of live ( like Ayur#veda) and we shall use the modern
technology of energetic equipment to reach all information we can get to use
the advantage of the latest research in these fields. This is the major change in
point of view in the field of real Health.

It is indeed a pleasure to know, that the first journal on Alternative &
Complementary Medicines will be out this month from our continental
branch in Europe. As the fields of Complimentary Medicines are deve#
loping faster, it is important that the right message go towards the ge#
neral public as well as the practitioners alike. I wish to congratulate the editorial
staff and particularly Dr. Francesco Rizzo for the great efforts made in brin#
ging out this publication.

Medicines through our continental branch Medicina Alternativa
Europe o.s. Today, these systems of medicines are developping in a
rapid pace. So many Governments have already recognized the effectiveness of
these systems of Medicines and have legalized them in their respective count#
ries. The patients as well as the practicioners have to be informed about the
pros and cons of these treatment methods. It´s therefor commandable, that
this effort to publish such a Journal is the right step staken in the right time.

Dear Reader, it is a great pleasure for me to welcome you to the first
edition of our MAE Journal, the official scientific paper of Medicina
Alternativa Europe. Medicina Alternativa Movement is proud to
present its newest instrument in communication to you. This paper
will quarterly report about our scientific activities and latest news of
worldwide CAM. Medicina Alternativa Europe is also proud to have famous
and outraging authors in it´s Journal. Of course, we pay tribute to the open
international character of our organization, which underlines our restless activi#
ties for healthcare and education. We all hope to meet your interest and to be
able to keep you on top of the informational level. Cordially, yours

In search for research
The CAM (complementary and alternative Me#
dicine) is often critizised, because of low or mis#
sing proves and statistics for it´s effectiveness.
When this critic is used by researchers, it seems
to be a self#fulfilling prophecy. Research re#
quests resources. But the existing resources,
both public and private, are mainly used for
alleopathic and pharmaceutical researchs. So, how can one expect studies and
proves, if there is none performed? The few realized show significant potenti#
al. One example is the EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing) of Francine Shapiro (USA), which is today internationally re#
cognized to treat posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Instead of longterm
prescription of psychotropics, healing is possible after few sessions. For socie#
ties and public health systems CAM means the one and only real alternative to
a common global failure, because of outdated and profit#orientated mecha#
nisms. # by far
CAM focus on wholesome people
One of the main differences between alleo#
pathic and alternative or complementary Medi#
cine is their focus. The studies of alleopathic
Medicine foresee a potpourri of pathologic di#
seases. The studies mainly don´t focus on
health, but on sickness. The specialization in
different medical faculties enabled a scientific
revolution and incomparable learning processes, but practicioners should re#
open their vision of the patient as a wholesome person and not as a sympto#
matic illness. Only integrated Medicine (CAM and Alleopathy) will lead to af#
fordable public health systems and senseful treatments. The declared reason to
study and to qualify oneself of most doctors and practicioners is the wish to

Today´s publications show at least 135 different known therapies belonging to
the field of complementary & alternative Medcines. # by far

is there a real difference? Medicina Alternativa Europe understands one of it´s
main targets in the clarifying of exactly this question. Today CAM is not the
main part of the EBM, but not, because CAM is not provable, it´s, that CAM
is often not proved scientifically, because of missing studies and resources
going to those proves, researches and publications. Medicina Alternativa Euro#
pe is absolutely convinced, that the production of evidences will lead CAM to
become an important part of EBM in near future. by !FAR!
How useful intestinal bacteria cause diseases
The bacterium Enterococcus faecalis is a most useful part of the natural intesti#
nal flora. Now it´s known, that it can also cause chronic inflammatory diseases
such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The reason is the enzyme produ#
ced by E. faecalis: Gelatinase: In a genetic susceptibility to intestinal inflamma#
tion, it punctures the intestinal mucosa and thus opens the door to pathogens.
Scientists at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) have uncovered previ#
ously this unknown mechanism of transaction between these beneficial intesti#
nal bacteria, genetic predisposition and the onset of the disease.

Study on European Mistletoe
European mistletoe (Viscum album L.) is an
evergreen, hemi#parasitic plant, normally
found growing on a variety of trees, especially
pine, poplar, apple trees, locus trees etc.
Although there are many varieties of mistletoe,
including the American (Phorandendron sero#
tinum or Phorandendron flavescens), the Eu#
ropean (Viscum album L.), and the Korean
(V. album L. coloratum), most investigative work has been done on European
mistletoe. A number of biological effects, such as anticancer (Melzer et al.,
2009), apoptosis#inducing (Büssing and Schietzel., 1999), antibacterial, antiviral,
and immunomodulatory activities have been reported (Hajtó et al., 2005). In
research paper Nwanjo (2007), investigated the role of aqueous V. album
extract on hypoglycaemic and antioxidant potentials in streptozotocin (STZ)
induced diabetic Wistar rats. This investigation shows that the aqueous extract
of V. album leaves in addition to being hypoglycaemic seems to be effective for
reducing oxidative stress and free radicalrelated diseases including diabetes.
Ofem et al. (2007), investigated the effect of the crude aqueous extract from V.
album leaves on arterial blood pressure and heart rate in albino Wistar rats. The
results of this study shown that the crude mistletoe extract significantly lowe#
red the blood pressure but had no effect on the heart rate in normotensive rats.
The antioxidant molecules found in mistletoe are represented by flavonoids
(quercetin and quercetin methyl ethers, accumulated on the plant surface, occa#
sionally also the flavonol kaempferol and its methyl derivatives, and rarely na#
ringenin) (Haas et al., 2003) and phenolic acids, such as digallic and o#coumaric
acid in the free or glycosilated forms (Luczkiewicz et al., 2001). The phytoche#
mical profile of mistletoe depends on the host trees of this plant (Luczkiewicz
et al., 2001). Mistletoe (V. album) is a hemiparasitic plant, that can biosynthesi#
sed their own compounds, but it can take some nutrients from the host trees.
Viscum album L. is a medicinal plants used for many years as a remedy in the
traditional medicine and in complementary cancer therapies. We investigated
the influence of some host trees: Acer campestre (VAA), Fraxinus excelsior
(VAF), Populus nigra (VAP), Malus domestica (VAM) and Robinia pseudoaca#
cia (VAR) on the chemical composition and antioxidant activity of leaves and
stems from V. album, as well the influence of the solvent (water and ethanol)
used for extraction on biological activity.

HPLC with photodiode array detector analysis of bioactive
compounds from leaves and stems of mistletoes (V. al#
bum), hosted by five differents trees, was performed. Anti#
oxidant activities, determined by the 2,2#diphenyl#1#
picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), Oxygen Radical Absorbance Ca#
pacity (ORAC), (Trolox#equivalent antioxidant capacity
(TEAC) methods were compared with the quantification
of total phenolics using the Folin #Ciocalteu reagent. V.
album hosted by Fraxinus excelsior (VAF) recorded the
highest level of total phenolic acids (108.64 Ng/g dry mat#
ter), while the mistletoe hosted by Malus domestica (VAM) had the lowest level
of total polyphenols (39.37 Ng/g dry matter). In general, higher antioxidant
activity was detected in the alcoholic than in the aqueous extracts. The values
obtained for total phenolics in both, aqueous and ethanol extracts, decreased in
the order: VAR > VAF > VAP > VAA > VAM. The mistletoe stem extracts
contained lower levels of phenolics, as compared to leaves in both solvents.
Our results suggest, that mistletoe extracts possess significant antioxidant acti#
vities, that may be due to their bioactive compounds content, suggesting that
this plant may be an important source of natural products with chemopreventi#
ve and chemotherapeutic activities.

European Youth Politic need non(cid:31)formal learning
30 different European networks for European education and civil engagement
have undersigned a joint communique under the programme „Erasmus for
all“, stating, that a significant improvement in systems of non#formal learning
and more active Organisations of civil society is needed to respond to the de#
mand of future#ready Education. This concerns the need to reinforce the life#
long learning dimension and the recognition of competences and skills gained
through non#formal education, to strengthen the complementary aims of lear#
ning – active citizenship, social inclusion as well as employability. Furthermore,
it is crucial to better acknowledge the importance of civil dialogue and civil
society and the support to them.

Cellular Electromagnetic Control System (cid:31) CECS
The so#called CECS = ZES® have a positive
effect on the structures of information of
biological perceptions. Each perception that
we realize – irrespective of acoustical or
optical form, or sense of touch or sense of
smell, are principally nothing else than
information, that our human body receives
and analyses via our organ#specifities. The
results of these analytic facts (biological data) are stored in the brain in form of
data of experiences (data bank) and is permanently compared with all the new
incoming information. The comparison with stored information (data) shows
as a result, whether it smells good / smells bad— it hurts / is a good feeling—
it is low noise / is noisy— it is light / is dark etc.. As another matter of fact,
biological information are transmitted via ultra#low electromagnetic fields. So#
called potential vortices (these are components of electro#smog) can disturb
biological information. The CECS#Circuit Board units is engineered to reduce
these potential vortices from the surroundings and stop the negative influence
over the cell#communication. A positive concomitant is, that in the same
moment all information, which are emitted from the biological cell, are
absorbed, too. A healthy cell takes it as a strengthening power play and
reproduces the absorbed information immediately and gets stronger as it was
before. A better state of health is one of the possible results. It is experienced,
that already diseased cells do not survive the power play, they cannot
reproduce their information and cannot hand over their bad information to
healthy cells. The structure (database) of this biological info#program and the
technique of the data capture through the CECS Circuit Board#units is a
unique knowledge of the developers Reichwein and Peters. The Austrian
company alphaBIOCELL Biotechnologie GmbH has developed CECS as a
system to minimize potential vortices, which appear all over and which are
emitted from electrical equipments like cellular phones, computers, screens etc.
(topic: ELECTROSMOG). Possibly dangerous biological active stress
potentials could be reduced. The technique is a system consisting of one single
wire catching potential vortices and finally transform them – via an Ohmic
resistor, that works as a thermal discharger, into harmless heat. The results of

Help for Victims of Van Earthquake in Turkey
Human Plus, the humanitarian aid organisation belonging to
our international network, achieved in cooperation with indus#

ces the sending of an aid convoy from Germany to Van, Tur#
key, where an earthquake left thousands of people without ho#

Energy is normally studied by the faculty of Physics. In the faculty of
Humanities, Energy is used as a term for any form of spirit, strength, ability,
power etc.. From the view of human beings, Energy is created and flows
through sensations, (feelings), thoughts, words and actions, (deeds), depending
on the orientation, either of positive or negative polarity. Is Energy therefore
both physical and spiritual?
2 Origin of terms
We start with the clarification of the defined terms:

Human Energy = HE
• Biological Micro#Impulse = BMI
This leads to the assumption, that the sum of all so defined human energies
∑HE is the result of the addition of all human energies, so HE =(xS + xT +
xW + xA) or written as the „Simple Farsche Energy Formula“ (Farsche energy
formula comes from the initials of the author FAR): ∑HE = x(S+T+W+A).
Since the energies can potentiate each other, a more sophisticated analysis is
required, because a feeling is an energy itself, but it may also increase or
decrease a Thought, Word or Deed. Similarly, energy types (S,T,W,A) may also
effect an increase or decrease within their own genre. On the other hand may
reactions to energies also lead to the creation or potentiation of new human
