The writer of the material present in “Living, Loving and Laughing” believes

importance. This means combining the approaches of a wide variety of
disciplines involved with Asperger’s children and their parents such as social
workers, nurses, teachers, doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors,
speech therapists. Also it involves using the knowledge and information of
parents themselves.
The author recognizes that within scientific, educational, social and medical

What readers have said about the
“Living, Loving and Laughing with
Asperger’s” book series
“Really enjoyed both books. I think it helps so much to
hear real people's problems and solutions. Some of the
books on the market can be too professional. So these
are a refreshing change, and most importantly
encourages positivity towards ASD. Thanks and well
done.”
Hilary Morrison (Mom to Josh - 15 with ASD,
dyspraxia, and visually impaired).

“The mix between your personal life moments, short
stories, TV programs, and reflections with Asperger’s
Syndrome is one of a kind. The tips make me smile,
laugh, think, wet my eyes and cry.”
Carla Balderas

“I like that the format of the book is very easy reading.
Includes your input, and input from others going
through similar situations. It says YOU ARE NOT
ALONE, it's funny, it's informative, it's inspiring.
Your book covers many topics and this is a book that
the reader is never finished with. This book can be
used daily as an inspirational book or book of support;
however you want to put it.”
Barbara Emp

“I really enjoyed reading this book (volume 1). I
always find something that I can relate to my life with
my boys. The stories help guide life through the daily
challenges and inspire hope for the future.”

Welcome
Thanks for downloading “Living, Laughing, and Loving with Asperger’s” today.
I really hope it inspires, informs, and entertains you in equal measures.
Why did I write this book?
Well I’ve been helping parents of children with Asperger’s since 2006. And one
thing I’ve noticed over this time is the need for hope and positivity. As day to
day life raising a child with Asperger’s can be tough.
And whilst there’s lots and lots of “how to . . .” books. Dealing with all aspects
of Asperger’s like school problems . . . meltdowns . . . sensory issues . . . social
skills . . . sibling relationships . . . and more (I’ve even written a number of them
myself).
There are fewer books offering inspiration and hope.
Over the past 18 months I’ve been sending a daily email message (5 days per
week) to 1000’s of parents of children with Asperger’s around the world. These
messages are positive (at times humorous) and full of practical day to day
“survival tips” for parents.
If you’d like to receive these FREE daily email tips you can do so at

They are generally short real life stories. As I believe stories are one of the best
ways to communicate with people. They can inspire and add light into otherwise
dark corners.
Think about your own life growing up for a second. I bet you loved stories as a
kid – and learned so much from them.
So I’ve taken some of the most popular short stories/tips I’ve written (as judged
by parents who’ve read them) and produced this book. I’ve also added some tips
and stories which were shared by parents of children with Asperger’s too.
And for the sake of symmetry there’s 52 tips/stories (you know one for every
week!)
26 parenting tips/stories from me.
26 parenting tips/stories from me.
19 tips from other parents.
7 real life stories from other parents.
Without further ado – as they say – let’s get into tip #1 (Parent Power) on the
next page. I really hope you enjoy this book,

26 Parenting Tips from Dave Angel
Something Inside So Strong (Dave’s Tip #1 Parent Power)
"The higher you build your barriers the taller I become
The farther you take my rights away the faster I will run
You can deny me, you can decide to turn your face away
No matter 'cause there's . . .
Something inside so strong
I know that I can make it
Though you're doing me wrong so wrong
You thought that my pride was gone
Oh, no, something inside so stro.o.ong
there's something inside so strong"
Labi Siffre - Something Inside So Strong
This classic 80's song by the London singer/writer Labi Siffre was inspired by a
1984 documentary exposing the South African apartheid system.
A powerful and inspiring song.
And it's hugely relevant for parents of children with
Asperger's.
The barriers can be just so high:
* Coping with school problems
* Dealing with behavioral issues
* Juggling family/financial/social/work commitments
