IfirstbecameawareoftheuniqueworkofJacobSigismundBeckwhendiscussing
Kant’s philosophy with Prof. Michael Strauss. I was surprised to come across a
uniqueviewthatwasveryclosetomyownapproach.Thisfirstencounterwasthe
triggerforanintensiveresearchbothintotheroleplayedbyJacobSigismundBeck
withinoneofthemostdynamicperiodsofthehistoryofGermanIdealismandinto
thedetailsofhisphilosophicalposition.Thisresearchhasinturnledmetorethink
andadjustmyinterpretationofKant’sTranscendentalIdealismaswellasabetter
formulationofmyownepistemologicalposition.Thishasbeenathrillingjourney
theproductsofwhicharegiveninthefollowingpages.
