now opening up, airlines reinstating and adding new
flight routes, and cruise lines embarking on exciting

senses. Global Traveler acts as a sommelier to
our readers, making suggestive pairings for
every occasion including honeymoon hot spots, luxury
beach getaways and travel tips piggybacked with fascinat-

ings to our Leisure Lifestyle Edition, where we uncork the
finest in luxury travel, hitting on all hospitality sectors,
entertainment and destinations as voted by our readers.
As anewer face on the team, I’m thrilled to be part
of FXExpress Publications, Inc. I am even more excited
to take part in our in-person events to honor those travel
providers who go above and beyond to curate seamless
experiences for our readers through hard work and
dedication.
We witness a significant transformation as the world
of travel progressively opens back up. Like me, you may
have attempted to quench your thirst for travel before
the reopening, finding loopholes to see some of the most
breathtaking sites while crowds remained small. I escaped
to Spain before accepting my new role, delighting in
Barcelona's Sagrada Familia and Madrid’s Royal Palace,
Retiro Park, Plaza Mayor, Puerta de Ale: along with
tasting some of the best Mediterranean cuisine, tucked
away in the alleys of the city. Later in the summer, I again

ventured across the sea to Italy, where I walked through
the Colosseum, climbed the Duomo, viewed the statue
of David and made a wish at Trevi Fountain. Unfortu-
nately, I could only sip from a half-full glass due to mask
mandates, curfews and restrictions, but that proved
enough for me.

world Boutique River Cruises earns Quint Status for its fifth
win as Best River Cruise Line. Seabourn has us seeing double
with two wins: Best Cruise Line Dining and Best Cruise
Line Spas for the fourth year in a row.
Captain's Club from Celebrity Cruises takes its second
Best Cruise Line Rewards Program title. Going around the
world? Regent Seven Seas Cruises is the Best World Cruise
winner, In the Caribbean, it’s all about Windstar Cruises,
Best Cruise Line Caribbean Sailings. Take off from the Port
of San Diego, Best Cruise Port.
Upsetting a seven-time winner, Sonesta Hotels & Resorts
shook up the Best Luxury Leisure Hotel Group in the World
category this year. The brand also appears topping the Best
Pet-Friendly Hotels ranking. Another winner that unseated
a former long-time favorite, InterContinental Hotels
& Resorts is Best Hotel Chain Resorts. Making its first
appearance ever on one of our surveys, Ace Hotel won Best
Eco-Friendly Hotel Chain.
Rounding out our hotel and resort winners, we have
Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Best Family Resort Chain in
the World; Club Med, Best Hotel Chain in the Caribbean;
Banyan Tree, Best Hotel Chain in Thailand; and Hyatt
Zilara, Best All-Inclusive Resort.

Eco-Friendly Airline. Last, but certainly not least, Hawaiian

Kent, Best Tour Operator; Mascrati, Best Luxury Vehicle;
Ulysee Nardin, Favorite Luxury Watch Brand; Hertz, receiv-
ing Quint Status as five-time Best Leisure Car Rental; Na
