G.S.R.  33.—In  exercise  of  the  powers  conferred
by sub-section  (1) of section 3 of the All India Ser-
vices Act,  1951 (6l  of  1951), read with  rule  11 of
the  Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 1954, the Cen-
tral  Govt.  in  consultation  with  the  Government  of
Maharashtra,  hereby, makes the following  rules  fur-
ther to  amend the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules,
1954 namely :•—
1. (i) These rules may be called the Indian Police
Service  (Pay)  —  Amendment  Rules,  1992.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of tbeir
publication in the official  gazette.
2. In the Indian Police Service  (Pay) Rules, 1954.
(a) In schedule I1I-A in the Table, for the entry

Section  48 of  the  Life  Insurance  Corporation  Act,
1956 (31  of  1956), the Central  Government  hereby
makes the following rules further  to amend the  Life EXPLANATORY  MEMORANDUM
Insurance Corporation of India (Agents) Rules, 1972,

June,  199]  inviting  objections  and  suggestions  from
all persons  likely to be affected  thereby ;
And whereas the copies of the said notification were
made available to the public on 22nd July  1991 ;
And whereas no objection or suggestion was receiv-
ed from  the  public ;
Now, therefore,  in  exercise  of the powtrs  confer-
red by section  5 of the said Act,  the Central Gov-
ernment  hereby makes the following  rules further  to
amend  the Aircraft  Rules,  1937, namely  :—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Aircraft  (First
Amendment)  Rules,  1992.
(2)  They  shall come into force  on the  date  of
their publication  in the Official  Gazette.
2. In the Aircraft  Rules,  1937,  in sub-rule (2) of
rule  30,  in  clause  (a),—
(a) In  sub-clause  (ii),  for  the  word  "and"  ap-
pearing at the end,  the word "or"  shall be
substituted  ;  ,
(b) after  sub-clause  (ii),  so  amended,  the  fol-
lowing  sub-clause  shall  be  inserted  name-
ly  :—
"(iii) by the  Centra]  Government  or any State
Government  or  any  Corporation  owned
or controlled  by either of  the said Gov-
ernments  ;  and".
