Description:The resulting radioactive metabolites cannot pass the blood brain barrier (BBB) because of their polar character, and in consequence radioactivity is accumulating in AChE rich brain regions (principle of metabolic trapping).[17-22] Ligand-type radio tracers are reversibly binding AChE inhibitors wh
