Adams of Braintree and Some of His Descendants." I've added information for the last few

Introduction
The following pages list data for all known family members as of August 24, 2017.
Most information has come from "Henry Adams of Braintree and Some of His Descendants." I've
added information for the last few generations through research in the US Census, Passenger Lists,
etc. I take responsibility for any errors. Feel free to email me with any corrections or additions. I
value your input.
In the chapter titled "Family of the Starting Person" the ancestors of John Adams and Abigail Smith
are presented in a kind of enhanced Pedigree Chart which displays the graphic representation of their
direct-line ancestors and the children of the couple. This chapter contains information about the
couple whose offspring are listed in the later chapters.
The chapter titled "Families of his Descendants" provides details (as known as of the publication

This document reports the details of 139 individuals, of whom 71 are male and 68 are female. Of the
67 individuals with recorded birth and death dates, the average lifespan was 57.27 years. Of these,
38 males averaged 60.47 years, and 29 females averaged 53.07 years. The longest living male was
John Adams Abbott (1902–1995), who died aged 92. The longest living female was Elizabeth
Combs Adams (1808–1903), who died aged 94.

1. Pres. John Adams was born on October 19, 1735, in Braintree, Norfolk, Massachusetts,
USA.[1] He was the son of John Adams and Susanna Boylston. John died in Quincy,
Norfolk, Massachusetts, USA, on July 4, 1826, at the age of 90. He was buried in First
Unitarian Church Cemetery, Hancock, Berkshire Co., MA, in July 1826.
At the age of 28, John married Abigail Smith on Friday, February 24, 1764, in Weymouth,
Norfolk, Massachusetts, USA, when she was 19 years old.[2] They had five children. Abigail
Smith was born in Weymouth, Norfolk, Massachusetts, USA, on November 23, 1744.
Abigail reached 73 years of age and died in Quincy, Norfolk, Massachusetts, USA, on
October 28, 1818. She was the daughter of William Smith and Elizabeth Quincy.

+ 2 I. Abigail Adams was born in Braintree, Norfolk, Massachusetts, USA, on July 14,
1765. She died in Quincy, Norfolk, Massachusetts, USA, on August 15, 1813, at
the age of 48.[3]
+ 3 II. John Quincy Adams was born in Braintree, Norfolk, Massachusetts, USA, on
July 11, 1767. He died in Washington, DC, on February 23, 1848, at the age of
80.
III. Susanna Adams was born in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, USA, on December
28, 1768. She died in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, USA, on February 4, 1770,
at the age of 1.
+ 4 IV. Charles Adams was born in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, USA, on May 29,
1770. He died in New York, USA, on November 30, 1800, at the age of 30.
+ 5 V. Thomas Boylston Adams was born in Quincy, Norfolk, Massachusetts, USA, on
September 15, 1772. He died on March 12, 1832, at the age of 59.
