JumpChain Compliant Do-Over v1.0:
Another Jump down, and another visit from the ever-present, ever-exuberant
Jump-chan. Except this time she seems a little put off. She explains that
you've gotten a little stale; not enough for her to declare you boring and
throw you out like all the rest of the trash, of course. Not yet. But it's
all become just a little too... systematic for her tastes. All of this time,
she claims, has made you forget what it is to have fun, how to think like,
well, like a child. And she's going to try and get you to remember that,
the only way she knows how.
With a new Jump. You're going to a world so like home that you might not
be able to tell the difference; hell, if you look hard enough, you might
find yourself in a much more literal sense than you would imagine possible.
You'll be starting at the age of ten, and spending ten years getting in touch
with your inner child while learning about new powers, avoiding or allying
with other underage supers, and, eventually, having to avoid the agents of
reality itself, eldritch monsters masquerading as humanoid angels trying
to take back your powers.

Pros: Never really hurting for money for necessities. Pretty standard

in high school, and that's the best few years of your life outside of college,

Military Son
[100 CP]
Pros:SimilartoMiddle-Class,butsomewhathigherpaying.Oneofyourparents
works for law enforcement or the military, and can get you out of trouble
sometimes.
Cons: Police- or Military-issue chew-outs. If you screw up too much, you
may get to go to boot camp.
Your parents are nice, calm, polite, and above all else, happy. Strict, but
happy. They forgive your mistakes, fully realizing that you're a kid, and
it's expected that you'll make more than a few trying to figure stuff out
for yourself. Just don't screw up too much, or you'll get the strap.
Cool Parents
[100 CP]
Pros: Don't really care what you do, as long as you keep your grades up and
don't, like, kill someone, or join a satanic cult, or whatever. Always seem
to know just what to say, and give some of the best gifts.
Cons: Both parents work; more money, sure, but neither is there all the time,
so expect to be by yourself a lot. The first question they will ask, every
time you get in trouble, is if you're in trouble because you joined a blood
cult.
Alarm! Alarm, alarm... oh, there it is. Breakfast is on the table, there's
fresh towels out in the bathroom, all the way it usually is, and the house
is quiet, almost unbearably so. One of them should be home soon, but you'll
be leaving as soon as they get here, so, that's a little sad. But, hey, you're
going on a day-trip this weekend, if neither of them gets called in, so that's
fun.
Farmer
[150 CP]
Pros: Never really hurting for money, like, at all. Lots of space to practice
your powers without people noticing. Willing to hide knowledge of your powers
if any are useful to the farm.
Cons: Likely very religious, so if any of your old powers seem, "unholy,"
in nature, from a conservative christian point of view that includes anything
not exclusively christ-related, you're probably gonna be in for a lot of
exorcisms. Have to work for money that's not part of your allowance.
You've been out in the fields since, well, if your grandparents are to be
believed, since the day you were born. You have a great work ethic, and your
parents have enough money to replace stuff that breaks down irreparably,
much less the couple hundred bucks you need for school supplies, and your
own allowance will cover lunch money and probably a lot more. Everything
else you have to work for, just the way your pa did when he was your age.
Rich Kid
[200 CP]
Pros: You don't need money; you have it, basically, just lying around. Your
parents are also willing to shell out cash to keep you out of trouble most
of the time, because you reflect on their parenting skills.
Cons: If they find you out, they'll probably consider your powers to be some
kind of illness to be, "fixed," like Angel's dad in X-Men.
I'm not saying you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth, but, well,
you were. You've never known the feeling of, "want," not even once in your
life. On the flip side of that, being rich is kind of... solitary, unless
you like talking about stocks, investments, stuff you've bought, and people
you'vehadhiredorfired.Asaresult,you'veneverbeenabletobringyourself
to get rid of any of your friends, not even the ones your parents call leeches
in not-quite hushed conversations about where they went wrong.

Perks:
The meat of any Jump, and these are a special lot, in stark contrast to the
otherwise mundane existence this Jump has in store for you.
Composite Body
[50 CP]
Your body becomes a physical manifestation of your soul, as much meat as
it is raw, unchecked energy, equal in both amount and distribution, and gains
a number of abilities to go along with that. You no longer need to eat, drink,
sleep, or even breathe to continue functioning, as the meat half of your
body sponges energy from the energy half, and the energy half leeches the
energy given off by the meat half from its use.
Consequentially, your body doesn't deteoriorate from not doing those things
and, as a result, any work you do that would have a positive impact on your
body's musculature improves it at one-and-a-half times the normal rate. In
addition, taking in food and water, and sleeping on a schedule, the way a
normal human would has its own added benefit, despite not needing them. The
constant intake and storage of energy caused by it allows your body to make
better use of its own, improving your regenerative rate to a visible level
similar to a kudzu vine or kelp plant growing; if you check back every hour
or so, there will be visible regrowth, up to and including the slow regrowth
of amputated limbs, but unless you look close, or have something to gauge
its growth, it's hard to notice.
Abilities that require extraneous calories, whether via stamina, actual
calories, or whatever else, are unaffected by this perk; they still require
that energy.

Master List
[50 CP]
You gain access to the master list of all video games, including expansions,
DLC, and the like, being released every twelve months for the world each
of your Jumps takes place in. This list updates quarterly, and includes some
interesting features, the first and foremost of which is an increased ability
to play video games on your part because, honestly, you kinda need the help.
You inherently understand the flow and balance of any game you pick up, to
an extent that allows you, with moderate practice and study, to rival even
the best of the best of competitive players on the world stage.
You can also edit the list by moving and deleting entries that are already
on the list, and even adding your own. The list includes everything from
the smallest of the small, one guy on a forum making an indie game in his
spare time, all the way up to the yearly cash-cow Triple-A titles, and is
100% correct, right down to the timestamp. Moved entries simply receive more
or less production time, and are just released earlier or later, based on
when you move them to be, and may even be forced to release so early that
they're completely unfinished, or pushed back so far that they're better
than they have any right to be, much less better than you remember them being.
Erased entries simply vanish into the aether, never to be heard from again;
whether the actuality is a loss of interest on the creator's part, a complete
computer crash and loss, or server-wide corruption on the part of larger
developers, the chances of it reappearing in any form are very small, and
actually zero within the first six months after its erasure. And whatever
the, "real," story is, whether you tell anyone or not, you'll know that it
was your hand, and yours alone, that did it. Can you live with that?
Added entries can be anything from full-fledged games in their own right,
to a mod for an existing game, or even a game-related program like an emulator,
a rom dumping program, a tool for patching mods onto console versions, or
even a cheating engine. Games and mods created in this way are expertly
developed, and follow the spirit of your intentions, no matter what they
are, to the utmost extent; mods for existing games mesh seamlessly with the
game they're developed for, as though the developer had had a hand in their
creation, and neither has any kind of exploitable bug that's not included
by design. Programs created by this list are equally well programmed, and
have a user interface that is to your liking, in regards to your personal
aesthetic.
You may move entries around freely, but you may only add or erase entries
once per quarter, to a total of two entries per year each. Added entries
are sent to you either in the mail, or via e-mail, depending on their medium,
and you receive the only copy, leaving the choice of whether to distribute
the game or not entirely up to you.

Body Builder
[100 CP]
A little of all the best parts of Body Mod, all rolled up into one choice,
for the discerning Jumper. This allows you to reset your body's shape to
anything you want it to be, within the constraints of human possibility and
your current gender(didn't think you were going to get off that cheaply,
did you?). In addition to this, you become much stronger, quicker, and tougher
than your mundane peers:
At the time you start, you can easily carry, or deadlift over your head,
1.5timesyourweight,liftdoubleyourcarryweightoffthegroundandstagger
around with it, and push or drag five times your carry weight along the
ground(this applies to combat strength as well); Your speed is increased
to twelve and a half times your height in meters, in kilometers per hour,
as a thirty second burst of speed, or half that as sustained cross-country
speed; And your physical endurance, mental acuity, and durability enhance
to withstand these increases, as well as requiring bone-breaking force to
bruise you, and causing any illnesses that afflict you to pass in half their
usual time, with chronic or fatal illnesses passing in a year, at most, and
being rendered incapable of killing you.
Thestrengthandspeedincreasesstacknormally(diminishingreturnsandall),
but their enhancements apply to your final figures wholesale; you will always
be able to lift at least your maximum capacity over your head, lift and stagger
around with at least twice that, and push or drag at least five times it,
and you will always be able to maintain a dead run for at least 30 seconds
before being winded, and sustain running cross-country at at least half your
maximum speed, whatever those figures end up being.
Your strength and speed will also increase with time, doubling by the time
you're fifteen years old, and increasing with hard work after that. As an
added bonus, you can make the choice, upon buying this, whether or not to
fully hide your physical abilities, prior, current, and future, behind the
facade of whatever body you've chosen to grow into.
For an extra 50 CP, you may enhance one of your already increased attributes,
as shown below; for another 100 CP, you may increase another attribute, but
you may only increase each attribute once(total of 250 CP spent, to enhance
all three):
Speed: Your speed triples, your burst of speed lasts for up to a minute,
and your cross-country speed is increased to two-thirds your maximum instead
of half. Your mental acuity increases to keep pace with it.
Strength: Your carry weight and deadlifting weights are increased by
two-thirds, and your muscle endurance increases to match. Your multipliers
for lifting off the ground or pushing and dragging don't increase.
Toughness: Your pain tolerance goes up, and small caliber bullets, like
handguns, feel and leave marks like paintballs, with higher calibers leaving
commensurately larger and more painful marks on you. You become immune to
all illnesses, both known and unknown.

Mind of Cho
[200 CP]
Amadeus Cho is a Marvel superhero. His superpower is a mastery of mathematics
on a level that allows him to discern the best possible outcome state and
intuit the steps to reach that state. And now, so can you, you lucky bastard!
You don't get it for free, though; just like the man himself, all of these
mental gymnastics are taxing on the body, burning through calories like lit
thermite through steel. That's really fast, by the way. Expect to have to
carry whole apple pies, or steal random high-calorie foodstuffs to not black
out from sheer hunger, or even possibly starve yourself to death.
Even if you have Composite Body, as mentioned in its entry, you still need
the extra calories to use this power, even though you don't need to eat or
drink to live; think of it like an extra function that requires fuel, even
if whatever it's mounted on doesn't.
Telekinesis
[300 CP; requires Mind of Cho, mutually exclusive with
Telepathy]
You gain the ability to lift, move, and manipulate objects telekinetically,
as though you were manipulating them with your hands, using up to 5,000
Newtons(N) of force. The range of this ability is 60 meters, but you may
extend your range in one meter increments, by giving up 25 N per meter you
extend your range. You can also push your mind, to bump up that force ten-fold,
for up to a second.
Using this ability is taxing on your mind, with overuse causing headache,
nosebleed, and blacking out from mental exertion. In addition to this, 5,000
N is simply your max, and using the full force for extended periods is like
walking around with your full carrying capacity in weights strapped to your
body, which is to say, "not pleasant."
As a note, one Newton is enough to accelerate 1 kilogram of mass by one meter
per second, or hold it up against the force of Earth's gravity. With practice,
the amount of force you can exert will slowly rise, and the more work you'll
need to do to cause the side effects to kick in.
Telepathy
[300 CP; requires Mind of Cho, mutually exclusive with
Telekinesis]
You gain the ability to detect living creatures by thought and to talk to,
however rudimentarily, and listen in on the thoughts of, any living creature
on the planet you're currently on. You can also, by focusing on a single
creature to varying degrees, probe their mind, hijack their senses, or puppet
their bodies.
By probing their mind, you gain access to the knowledge they have, and can
use this knowledge to learn the skills they have, though this process will
take as much time as it would take for you to learn it normally. Hijacking
their senses allows you to experience the things they are, to force them
to feel what you are, or to switch peoples' senses between them. Finally,
puppeting someone's body is relatively straightforward, allowing you to
control their movements, like a puppet on a string.
Using the mind probing, sensory hijacking, or control parts of this ability
causes the affected creature's memories to leak into yours, causing headache,
confusion, disorientation, and delusions of being the affected creature.
The further away from them you are, the faster these side-effects set in,
the longer they take to correct themselves, and the higher the risk of your
memories leaking into them in much the same way, potentially allowing them
to figure out who you are.

Master Technician
[300 CP]
You can, by doing routine maintenance on a device, enable it to function
on the level of one of those massive, room-filling super computers that
everyone just kind of assumes that the government and large companies are
keeping to themselves. It becomes capable of tanking through the laggiest,
most poorly optimized, most demanding and resource-intensive games and
programs, in any combination and number, with absolutely zero lag, at the
highest framerate and resolution available. If the device runs off of battery
power, it will never need to be charged and, regardless of the device, it
will have the equivalent of an uncapped, high-speed, fiber-optic cable
connection, wirelessly, wherever you take it, as long as such technology
exists.
In addition, whatever storage medium it uses becomes limitless and never
chokes on the amount of data stored to it. The device also becomes
supernaturally resistant to the elements: waterproof, drop-proof,
shock-proof, virus-proof, hack-proof, and immune to stuff getting into it
through the vents and clogging up the fans or holding heat on heat-sensitive
parts; essentially immune to anything it has any chance of ever being
subjected to, including your powers and the side-effects of them. This also
includes cat hair. Some-fucking-how.
Any device that is capable of accessing the internet without external or
third-party modifications can be designated by you to receive the bonuses
of this ability, but you may only grant this ability to one device at a time.
As an example, a console that required being jailbroken to access the internet
couldnotbedesignatedbythisability;anoldNintendoDSwiththeDSInternet
game cart and the RAM card it comes with, however, could. In addition, if
your device is not, in fact, a computer, you can choose to receive peripherals
thatallowittobettermimicone,includingjacksforUSBs,portsformonitors
and ethernet cables, and a specially made wireless keyboard and mouse that
match the function of their wired counterparts.
Thisdeviceautomaticallyupdatesitselftomatcheverytechnologicaladvance
and, if you access a website through an account that requires a login, that
account, even if it's not yours, gains unwritten admin privileges for as
long as you're using it. The account also can't be banned for anything you
do that doesn't attract the attention of the authorities while you're using
it; if it's not yours, when you get off of the account and the actual owner
comes back on, they receive any repercussions that would follow from anything
you did. While accessing the site, you can do anything the actual
administrator could do short of actually taking the site down.
For an extra 50 CP a piece, you can designate an additional device at a time
to receive these bonuses.

Shapeshifting
[400 CP]
You can now change the way your body looks, freely, within the confines of
what could be considered human, with but nary a thought. These changes take
only a few seconds to come about at most, and you instinctively know what
falls into the category of what changes you can make. In addition to this,
you can change into any animal that's within ±100% of your current size and
mass by ingesting a DNA sample from them, like blood or hair/fur; you can
even customize the form based on what would be considered natural for that
creature, the way you can a human form. You even instinctively know what
fits that category, the way you do with people.
YoucanalsocombineknownanimalDNAsampleswithhumanDNAtocreatehybrids,
like monsters, monstergirls, or even furries, if that's your thing. Weirdo.
I'm totally judging you. But, on the flip-side, for all of your skill, you
can't make yourself younger in anything more than a cosmetic sense, your
powers lacking the finesse to properly modify your telomeres without causing
widespread cancer.
You retain your personality and memories regardless of the form you take.
If paired with the option of Body Builder that hides your physical strength
and speed, you retain those enhancements, regardless of the form you take,
allowing you to be the spider from that one mentos commercial, or a tiny
songbird capable of being hit by a car, chasing it down, and plowing through
the driver-side window, to tell that fucker that you can hear him talking
shit.
Genetic Progenitor
[150 CP/200 CP; requires Shapeshifting]
Your body now contains an encoded version of the root of all DNA, allowing
you to easily take any form that developed on this planet and, with practice,
take any form that could have developed. This perk also allows you to inflict
your shapeshifting onto anyone you are physically touching, turning them
intoanyformyoupersonallyarecapableoftaking.Itshouldbenoted,however,
that unless you take a stable sample of their genetic material, pre-change,
that it will be nearly impossible to turn them back once you've changed them.
You can also create living creatures you can shapeshift into from your own
biomass, and they are entirely separate creatures from yourself, and are
initially friendly towards you.
If taken with Genetic Protean, one of the two costs 200 CP, while the other
costs 150 CP, for a total of 350 CP for both. As a bonus for taking both
of them, you gain the ability to modify your telomeres(or those of others)
withyourabilities,allowingyoutoalteryourageonaphysicallevelinstead
of a cosmetic one without giving yourself cancer of the everything.
Genetic Protean
[150 CP/200 CP; requires Shapeshifting]
You are now capable of taking any form that fits the, truly rather generous,
definition of, "biologically possible," that includes things like obviously
mechanicalpokémonthatarestill,somehow,capableofsuccessfullybreeding,
element- or energy-based creatures like elementals, or creatures with
obviously magically-fueled powers that otherwise couldn't exist.
Because of these additions, the size cap on forms you can take is removed,
allowing you to take any form you desire, regardless of physical possibility.
With Genetic Progenitor, you gain the ability to turn people into any form
you can take, but unless you devote extra time and focus, you can't turn
them into anything larger than ±100% of their current size and mass.
If taken with Genetic Progenitor, one of the two costs 200 CP, while the
other costs 150 CP, for a total of 350 CP for both. As a bonus for- You've
read this already. Just... look up if you need it explained again.

Temporal Shenanigans
[500 CP]
You become capable of slowing down or speeding up time by up to 50%, an ability
you're certain to find very useful for skipping all of those classes you
remember perfectly from the first time you had to sit through them. Hell,
you might even be able to glean usable notes from that one group of teachers
that gets so into the lesson plan that they talk at a steady rate of about
a mile a minute the entire time.
You can also stop time completely, with a little bit of focus, though you
can't interact with anything you weren't in contact with when you initially
stopped time. This allows you to do amazing things like seeming to teleport
in an odd, flickering way, by stopping time between areas where you need
to interact with things, and, since you only need to focus to stop or re-start
time, seem to never need to sleep, or always having a clear schedule, despite
the amount of homework you have.
The time stop effect counts containers and their contents as a single item
for the purposes of what you need to be touching. In addition, your touch
transmits through clothes, and affects people as well, for as useful as you
can make that be, though it does not affect them after the effect starts.
One Step Forward
[300 CP; requires Temporal Shenanigans, mutually
exclusive with Two Steps Back]
You gain the ability to time travel, in the most literal sense, of your own
volition, popping into and out of the timestream at a whim wherever and
whenever you please within the world of your current Jump. It should be noted,
however, that this does not come with the knowledge to use it properly, and
improper use could lead to a pile of dead Jumpers that you have to explain.
And, really, no one likes dead Jumpers. They tend to clutter up the place.
Regardless of power level, you can never use this power, or Two Steps Back,
to go back to previous Jumps, because that would be too broken, and violates
the initial premise of the JumpChain.
Two Steps Back
[300 CP; requires Temporal Shenanigans, mutually
exclusive with One Step Forward]
You receive a set of three save states that can be set or accessed mentally
with a few moments of thought, allowing you to jump back to a previous moment
within the current Jump whenever you wish. This, essentially, gives you a
free, "do-over button," for any and every situation and interaction, so your
life can go, more or less, exactly how you want it to.
Regardless of power level, blah-blah-blah, same as the note under One Step
Forward.

Good to have, but never really necessary, items provide a certain edge to
a Jumper who knows how to employ them properly.
The Porn Drive
[50 CP]
A pervert's literal wet dream, and the best friend of a solo Jumper on those
lonely nights; you get a bottomless external hard drive containing massive
quantities of porn, organized via a well-tagged, booru-style interface, to
make sure you never find anything you don't want to. This includes not just
still pictures, but all formats of video, and even transcribed novels in
both text and audio formats. This includes the porn from all the worlds you've
been to, and all the worlds you will visit, once you get to them; the drive
itself shuts down for one hour every night from 11:30 PM to 12:30 AM to import
any new porn.
This also includes every variety of porn, including porn that's never been
in a virtual form, and even porn that's since been destroyed; as long as
it existed at one point, was made for the sole purpose of being porn, and
at least one person saw it, you have an image, video, text, or audio version
of it on the drive. You can also just straight-up custom order more porn
via the drive, if none of it's really scratching that itch in just the right
way, too. It should be noted that this also includes porn that, depending
on the world, or region, you're in might be balls-out illegal, so be extremely
careful who you let use it.
This also comes with one extra peripheral that interfaces with the drive
itself; a headset, though it's more like a helmet, that covers every part
of your head except your nose and mouth. The drive can, while interfacing
with the helmet, scan images, both stored on it and externally to it, creating
extra controllable virtual bodies, sets, and setpieces that the helmet can
interpret, allowing you to, essentially, play around in them, as though it
were a game. The virtual bodies can also be loaded with an AI that has traits
hand-picked by you, allowing you to create any kind of person, of any relation
to you, and indistinguishable from real people.
You can also use the drive to order extra headsets, which appear in your
warehouse the next time you visit it; they can connect to each other, as
