Response Team

The Baldwin Police ERT was established in 1994 by
directive from the Chief of Police under the command
of the Baldwin Police Emergency Response Team
Commander.

Eleven Police Officers and three Paramedics make up
this specialized tactical unit which provides support
for critical incident management, crisis negotiations
and high-risk warrant service. The ERT prides itself
in its training, dedication, professionalism and
espirits de corps, and acts as an effective tool in
modern law enforcement.

The ERT confronts critical incidents through
negotiation and less-lethal force. The ERT is a
valuable asset of our Police Department for public
safety and the well being of our citizens.
