IN THE MATTER of the mine abandonment by
John Lynass in the Delbume area
ABANDONMENT APPROVAL NO. C 32
WHEREAS John Lynass is the holder of Permit No. C 80-38 to re-open a mine site in the
Delbume area; and
WHEREAS John Lynass, by Application No. 860180 registered on 5 February 1986, has
applied for consent to abandon Mine No. 1734; and
WHEREAS John Lynass has abandoned Mine No. 1734 to the satisfaction of the Energy
Resources Conservation Board.
THEREFORE, the Energy Resources Conservation Board, pursuant to the Coal
Conservation Act, being chapter C-14 of the Revised Stamtes of Alberta, 1980, hereby orders as follows:
\. The abandonment by John Lynass of Mine No. 1734 is hereby approved.
2. This approval does not relieve John Lynass, or any other person liable, of the
burden of other or further abandonment operations that may, from time to time, become necessary.
3. The approval of the Minister of the Environment is attached hereto as
Appendix A, and this abandonment approval is subject to any terms and conditions therein contained.
MADE at the City of Calgary, in the Province of Alberta, this 24th day of
December, 1991.

Pursuant to section 21 of the Coal Conservation Act, I, Vance A. MacNichol,
Deputy Minister of the Environment, hereby approval Application No. 860180 registered on 5
February 1986 from John Lynass to the Energy Resources Conservation Board, in the matter of an
approval to abandon Mine Site No. 1734, insofar as it a ffects matters of the environment, such
application to be granted by the Board's Abandonment Approval No. 32, subject to the terms and
conditions prescribed in Development and Reclamation Approval No. C-1-81. This approval does
not release John Lynass from the responsibility of obtaining a Reclamation Certificate pursuant to
Part 3 of the Land Surface Conservation and Reclamation Act.
