Abstract Anewnebriinecarabidbeetleisdescribed fromtheNorthernJapanese
Alps,CentralJapan,underthenameofLelstuskurosawai.ItisrelatedtoL nigeralecto
BATES,butdiffersfromitmainlyintheshapeoftheelytraandtheapicallobeoftheaede-
agus.
ThepresentpaperdealsprimarilywithanewspeciesofthenebriinegenusLeis-
tus fromtheNorthernJapaneseAlps,CentralJapan.Thesubsequentpaperwilldeal
witharevisionalstudyoftheJapanesemembersofthegenus.However, therevision
willrequireseveralfurtheryearsforcompletion.
ThelateDr.YoshihikoKUROSAWAwhopassedawayearly inthisyearaffection-
atelywatchedmystudyofcarabidbeetlesforalongtime.Mydeepthanksaredueto
him,andthenewspeciesofLelstusdescribedhereinisnamedtohismemory.

Diagnosis. Bodyelongate;elytra1sidesweaklyarcuatethroughout;hindwings
reduced;elytra1apicesweaklyproduced;vieweddorsally,apicallobeofaedeagusnar_
rowandbasalmarginofdorsalmembraneouspartweaklyproduced.
Description.L:8.1-9.2mm.Bodyelongatewithnarrowelytra1base.
Colour blackishbrown;mouthparts,antennal segmentsII-XI, tibiaeandtarsi
brown;antennalsegmentIandfemorablackishbrown.

bothsides;dorsalmembraneouspartnarrowandweaklyproducedattheproximalen
andwithtwolongitudinalstripswhicharepoorlysclerotized;apicalmembraneouspart
andsidesofthedorsaloneheavilysclerotizeli,andwithtwoteeth(cf tjnFjg6),and
innerwall(cf. iinFig6);apicallobestronglyproducedandsimplyroundedindorsal

Variationinelytra1chaetotaxy. Setiferousdorsalporesaredistrjbutedbetween
1/20and4/5fromelytra1baseandonintervalIIIandstria3,buttheyvaryinnumber
andposition.
Ofthe32malesofthetypeseries,19or60%havethreesetjferousdorsalpores
ontheleftelytron,and17or55%havethreesetiferousdorsalporesontherjght.Ex_

要 約
森田誠司:北アルプス産キノカワゴミムシの1新種. - 北アルプスの高山帯で採集された
キノカワゴミムシ属の1新種, タカネキノカワゴミムシLeistuskurosawaiを記載した. 本種は,
北日本に分布するキノカワゴミムシL.,ugeralectoBATESに近縁であるが, 上翅側縁がいちよう
に丸まり,翅端が弱く突出すること, 陰茎の背面の膜質部が基部方向に強く広がらないこと,
陰茎の先端部が細いことなどの点で識別される.
