Dear Readers,
Welcome to the most recent addi¬
tion to our Yearbook collection -
the 2008 edition!
We congratulate a fine group of
graduates.
This year is also a significant one in
that it sees Mr. Patchett leaving us after thirty-one years of loyal and
steadfast service. Mrs. Dyer is moving on after sixteen years as the first
Head of the Primary Department and I am leaving too! I shall, therefore,
keep this edition as a rather special one.
In many ways the book reminds me of the wonderful time my family
and I have had as members of Warwick Academy. For over eleven years
we have enjoyed the special atmosphere, sense of pride and good nature
of the school community. It has been a pleasure and a privilege, never a
chore to be the school's Headmaster. These attributes are reflected in the
smiling faces and breadth of activities covered in these pages.
The book portrays a full and busy school life. The accomplishments of
the students have again been extensive in every aspect of the school's
functioning from the academic success, to sporting, musical, dramatic
and other extra-curricular achievement.
I urge the next generation of students to strive in the same manner, eager
to do their best and determined to maintain positive attributes. They are
and will continue to be, a shining example.
Thank you everyone for the support you have given me over the last
eleven years and I wish you all every success and happiness for the fu¬
ture.

The Academic year
2007/2008, for me,
will mark the end
of a sixteen year
association with
this wonderful
school. During that time I have watched us grow
from strength to strength. Whether it is in the
classrooms, on the sports field or in the Commu¬
nity, our students continue to shine. How can
this be? It is the strength of the Warwick Acad¬
emy School family and our refusal to accept sec¬
ond best. Our commitment to excellence, in all
areas, exemplified by the staff and communi¬
cated to the students is at the heart of everything
we do. I have been very proud to be a part of
this growth. 1 wish staff, students and the ad¬
ministration the very best in all the years to
come.
