Miriam Fanning,

THE BRIEF
Interior designer Miriam Fanning of Mim Design decided to
pay homage to Melbourne’s historical warehouses and
factories when she designed the kitchens for the new Dux
apartments project in Melbourne’s inner east. She also
wanted to acknowledge the area’s reinvigorated nature,
so her scheme is rich in texture and natural finishes, while
presenting as luxurious and refined. A key element of this

CHIC & SLEEK
Black, marble and copper constitute the
perfect recipe in this Sydney kitchen.
Marble play
“I originally wanted Calacatta
marble but opted instead for

all the touch points of the
kitchen are textured,
gleaming and tactile.
