Un Atlas Real, fiel reflejo de aquello que los hombres y laciencia han podido ratificar hasta el tumultuoso siglo XIV. El segundo llevará por nombre el Atlas Furtivo y, al margende la veracidad, incluirá, además de los hechos geográficos, todos aquelloslugares míticos y legendarios que maese Cresques ha escuchado en boca dehombres provenientes de otras latitudes. Un atlas concebido como un espacio para dar rienda suelta ala imaginación. Una vez concluida la tarea, Jafudá, el hijo menor de Cresques,emprende el viaje que le conducirá a Barcelona para hacer entrega de lasextraordinarias obras. Pero la Corte se halla sacudida por un torbellino deintrigas y conspiraciones, propios de un período de decadencia en el que eljoven descubrirá que los hombres han construido un mundo en donde la libertad yla tolerancia no tienen cabida puesto que éstos así lo hanquerido.
