PREFACE
‘Tho Government of Didia, in 1955, formulated an
All India Scheme for the revision and writing of disteiet
azetteers and reyuested the State Government to imple-
mont it, Ta 1958, Ue scheme was accepted by the Gavern-
ment of Andhra’ Pradesh which set ap te Andhra Pra
desh District Gazetteers Fditorial Board with the Chiel
Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh as
Chairman, ‘The Board was, however, eeorganised in
December, 1967 along with the department.

ment of India i June, 1970. Tt was approved in Janusry

District Gazellcers Editorial Advisory Board.
