It gives the Class of 2003 great pleasure to
dedicate this year's "Screech Owl" to John, Jack,
Happy Kendra. For 38 years he has given the
young people of Maynard fhe gift of education.
The classes he shares with us give us practical,
hands on training, something we can take away
and put into practice. For many students this
experience invaluable. We have so many

other things to thank Mr. Kendra for, it is the
everyday little things that he does that make our
school days run smoothly. He has made passes,
fixed sinks and stoves, cleaned up spills, built sets
for plays, stages for graduation, made signs, fixed
bleachers, and made props for Project Adven-
ture classes. He has acted in plays, been a lead
teacher, advisor, radio show host, the "recycling
man" and so much more.
