Definitions:

Alpha – Wolf pack leader

Beta – Wolf pack second

Carvrix (Carve)– a deadly poison used against shifters; it is a toxin that consumes flesh

Doupan (Douse) – chemical that masks scent

Itan – Bear clan leader (male)

Itana – Bear clan leader (female)

Laws of Visitation – a leader can deny the right of visitation, but you don’t need permission
from anyone if not staying longer than 12 hours. If the law is violated, justice can be
demanded.

Right of Preparation – When a Challenge or sentence is issued that could result in death, the
Challenged’s mate can claim this right, which grants 24-hour reprieve. Cannot be denied.

Skins – derogatory nickname for humans used by prejudiced shifters

Speciest – shifter prejudiced against humans

Territorial Alphas – govern regions, not just a single pack

Wereweb – social network for shifters

Werebear Traits/Customs:

Amplified possessiveness
Insane drive to kill anyone between it and its young
Keen sense of smell, can smell fear/rage

Rules:

Offspring of fated mates (i.e. shifting bear + half-breed/human) will have cubs who can
shift; offspring of non-fated mates (i.e. rape) not able to shift.

Werebear Death Prayer: May your soul be welcomed with loving arms.

Shifting is only painful is human disconnected from inner beast (i.e. hyenas)

Bear clans ruled by Itan, Itana and inner-circle (Enforcer, Keeper of the Knowledge, Healer)

Clan law states if humans know of clan, they must be married to clan member or eliminated

Cremation is an insult to shifters, as if they never existed. Being buried is a sign of respect, of
giving back to the Earth that supported life.

Shifters cannot tolerate foreign material within their bodies (i.e. glass eye).

If a wolf takes out an alpha and his son/heir, he must assume responsibility for the pack.
