Club Member Participation Requested This Month!
We would like at least six members to get up in front of aur group and talk
about what interests ther for our program for several minutes each, Extended Show
& Tell is our program this month. If you want to talk about something not related to
numismatics that is okay too.)
‘There are several people in our group that are worried about this moronic.
(omnicrom) Covid Virus. Please note that we are all still required to wear a mask,
whether or not you have gotten the vaccine. This is the Park's rules. | am not sure if
& when we will not be able to meet in the future as this virus is supposedly more
contagious. | haven't heard back from the manager of the Park, so the meeting is still
‘on this month,
‘Six members paid their Dues last month and | thank them. | am hoping that
more of you pay your Dues this month. If not paid by the end of the March meeting,
your name will be placed on the Inactive list and will not get a paper newsletter. You
are atill welcome to attend the meetings though.
Later this month there is a CSNA Coin Show at the Arcadia Masonic Center.
See Page 3 for a copy of the flyer that Phil Iversen sent us. Please wear your Covina
Coin Club Badge as a representative of our club. We can let the public know that
there is one local club in the area. The ANACS grading service will also be there. | will
have flyers at the meeting.
Gold Drawing: Several months ago, we had a gold drawing that needed 2 months to
sell enough chancas for. The winning number on a blue ticket is # 3978898. If you
have that number, please show up to our next meeting to receive it and bring your blue
matching ticket for proof. It tis not claimad, our treasurer will decide what to do with it
Last Month’s Meeting: 21 people attended the meeting. Mark Baskin told us that“
Carol Franks is ine Rehab. Facility following her shoulder surgery. He also visited Neil
‘Osina who is now in an Assisted Living Facility due to dectining health. Please
remember them in your prayers.
Membership Drawing: Emily Caims won it and she has her badge on.
Old & New Business: None was brought up.
Show & Tell: Al, Bill, Mark & Dennis each brought interesting items to share with us.
Mark & Al were the winners.
Program: Dennis Rocklein gave an interesting multi-media talk on The Philippine
Coinage. He talked about the beginnings of their making coins and also who was the
Ruler at that time each coin was produced.
Break: Meny of our members brought goodies to share with us. Ralph Vale made
the coffee forthose that like it
Door Prize Drawing: Thanks to our Treasurer Dennis, thera were 25 door prizes to
be won! There were several double winners. Jade was the lucky winner of the gold
coin,
The meeting was adjourned at 8:42 p.m. | want to thank all that helped get the room
back in order after our meeting.

Fellow Numismatists,

Diamond Anniversary coin show sponsored by the
California State Numismatic Association.
It will be held on January 28-30" at the Arcadia
Masonic Genter located at 50 West Duarte Road in
Arcadia (providing it is not preempted by COVID).

ANACS grading company will be present again this
year so bring your Items for submission.
